August 10th

Here it is almost mid August Shadowlane is just around the corner and Crimson Moon will be following close behind. I'm spending morning noon and night working on paddles and computer stuff. I've got some really fantastic paddles that I'll be posting as they get finished.

Bob asked me one morning... Are you okay doing this, I mean are you getting worn out and tired of it or do you think you will? Can you do this for a living?

My response... Tell me how many jobs there are out there that you can get up, still in your tshirt and panties, run out to the garage and play with all sorts of different types of exotic woods??? Yes, it's tiring, yes, it does wear me out, but no, I'm not going to get tired of it.

Every piece of wood is different, they all have their own personalities. The further along in the process the paddle gets, the more of the true, natural beauty shines through. It's like watching a bud bloom or a butterfly emerge. These woods have traveled long distances to find themselves in my shop, in my hands. I feel so honored and so very fortunate to get to work them into their final shape and beauty. Add to that the people who receive them telling me how much they love them and I'm in heaven :)

My paddle business has put me in contact with people all over the world and I've been lucky enough to have gained many wonderful friends through it. I'm just sure when I'm older and grayer than I am now :) I will still be making as many paddles as I can.

Anyone that has any questions for me, you are more than welcome to email me and I'll answer them to the best of my ability. My email is exoticpaddles@gmail.com and my web addy is www.kittysexoticpaddles.com. I look forward to hearing from you :)

Homeopathic Remedies

Recently, Hubby and I found out that our eleven year old tortie feline named Cinnamon has a large bladder stone. The vet did an ultrasound and gave us the picture. He told us that Cinnamon would have to have an operation that costs just shy of $2,700.00 or she would have to be put to sleep. We weren't satisfied with either solution so we opted for a third. We purchased enough pain meds and antibiotics to get her through over a month of doses. We then went home and I began researching the issue for a homeopathic method. What came up over and over again was a product known as UTI Free by Pets Alive, a homeopathic institution. Well, it was $85.00 for three small bottles but we decided to give it a try. Cinnamon has been on the solution for over a month now. She's been off both pain meds and antibiotics for over two weeks and she's happier and more active than we've seen her for a long time. She is still on the method and she will be on maintenance doses for the rest of her life (as will our male kitty Rocky). We're keeping a good eye on her but so far she's showing no signs of pain, she's back to using her litterbox reliably and we are very optimistic that this product is helping her body diminish the bladder stone in a completely natural fashion.

My research has also shown that there are large numbers of not only animals, but also people that have been coming up with urinary tract infections. Much of the research I've done comes up with the conclusion that our tap water has a great deal to do with the rise in this type of infection. We may drink bottled water but much of our cooking still uses tap water. The parent company to Pets Alive is a company known as Native Remedies... I'm going to be ordering some homeopathic stuff for hubby and I from there. They also have urinary tract solutions for people there. This may sound a bit like an ad, but I assure you, I have nothing to gain from anyone ordering from these people, I've just seen what their product has done for Cinnamon and I'm very happy with the results :)

Introductory post

Since this is my very first blog post, I think I will make it all about me and this blog :)

First, about me....

I have been actively involved in the spanking world for about twelve years and have been an interested party for much longer than that. I met my husband online in a spanking chat. He's an awesome fellow as many of you already know. Both of us are bottoms that are fully capable of switching when the call arises. He switches much more than me, for me there has to be a specific chemistry.

I have been a woodworker since highschool where I made 3dimensional horses and dogs as well as the normal signs and such. Before I started creating paddles, I had a little side business to my full time business. The full time business was a general contractor doing tenant improvements, the side business was aquiring and restoring antiques for resale as well as restoring for clients. I didn't start making paddles until eleven years ago when I attended my first Shadowlane party and was challenged by my then boyfriend (now husband) to create better product than was currently available. Kitty's Exotic Paddles was immediately born.
I've been creating paddles and selling them all over the world ever since!

You might think I created this blog specifically to keep everyone up to date on Kitty's Exotic Paddles and the product available..... While I will be doing that as well, the blog is more personal. I'm one of those people that know a little about a lot of things and I'm always researching and learning more about things that matter to me. I will be using this blog to express thoughts, feelings, views, quips, puns, poetry, and pretty much anything else that pops into my head. I hope that this blog will be not only entertaining, but will also give more of an insight into who Kitty is and what she's all about.

If you have any questions or would like anything addressed in my blog, just shoot me an email at exoticpaddles@gmail.com and I'll see what I can do about it :) In the mean time, I hope everyone signs up to follow my blog and finds enjoyment in the content!
